mixing.

Another nice chiptuney song. As for the "full" feel, you need proper mixing of the instruments to ensure their frequencies do not clash. Assign eash instrument to a mixer channel and then load a parametric EQ so they occupy their own part of the frequency spectrum. Yea.
Now that I think about it, Chiptune does not really too much mixing as the sounds are so lofi. The most mixing would be done on the kick if anything.

chubby-chobby responds:

My mixing is awful.
At this point it was actually non existant.
I'm trying to mess around a bit with with it now, but as you said chiptune and mixing don't have to mix too much =)
as this is chiptune and i chose more powerful drum voices anyway, i probably wouldn't mi them too much different for this one, i would go back and change the volumes on thigns a bit more so you get a clearer texture, but this is a song of the past now. Thanks for listening :)

hmm

I do like the lead you had going there. The percussion parts played to the riffs are nice too. The "go" sample (a native FL8 sample) should be scratched or something to avoid repetition. Yea, its a pretty cool chiptuney song.

chubby-chobby responds:

chiptuney?
In what way?
And i've had lots of negative on the 'Go' sample, i just wanted something cheeseythat made me smile and gave the song a more driving feel.
Thanks for the review and listening, when im good at mixing i might redo this one :)

lol

lol cool sample

lordzeppo responds:

haha thanks ;p

good job.

I really like the idea you had going here.
the instrumentals are awesome and the idea of the singing parts are sweet!
I like that you had a breakdown in there. I think that you do your lowest growls best.
I too love melodic higher pitched screaming. I've been looking for this kind of music on newgrounds. thanks man.
I would love to vocally cover this song! Do you have a version without vocals??

TheRealSam responds:

Thanks a lot, yeah I mainly do low vocals and I kinda suck at high ones.
Anyway, thanks man, you can PM if you want me to send you the instrumental of this song! :)

yea

I like.
not sure if you like melodic higher pitched vocals but they would work here.
good sound overall.
i think a modified melody would work right where you left off.
what program did you use to create this?

AngelsDontKill responds:

Thanks, man! The program? Well, I played the guitar and bass for it and did the vocals, but the drums were my own samples used in Acoustica Beatcraft. The program I recorded everything into was Cubase SX3. Thanks for checking it out!
